Understanding the Delivery Status
After you send your email to our seed list using the Inbox Placement Test, the results table will update with a delivery status for each email provider, giving you a clear picture of your campaign's reach.
Here are the possible values you'll see and what they mean:
- Pending: This status indicates that Unspam.email is still waiting for the test email to be delivered to that specific provider. This usually resolves in a few moments, but it can occasionally take longer depending on the provider's server response time.
- Spam: This is the result you want to avoid. It means your email was delivered, but it landed directly in the recipient's spam folder. This is a clear sign that you have deliverability issues that need to be addressed, such as a low sender score or blacklisted IP address.
- Inbox: This is the ideal outcome. It means your email was successfully delivered to the recipient's main inbox, making it easily visible and accessible. This is what you should be aiming for with all your email campaigns.
- Newsletter: Also known as the "Promotions" tab in Gmail, this status indicates that your email bypassed the spam filter but was categorized as promotional content. While not as bad as landing in spam, it means your email may not be seen as a high priority by the recipient. You can use this information to adjust your content and increase the likelihood of landing in the primary inbox.
